Information
"The incomprehensible relationship with silk has accompanied my life." In 1973, Bai Lun was admitted to Suzhou Silk Institute of Technology as a worker and peasant soldier. Bai Lun recalled that the silk engineering discipline has a profound industrial background and accumulation of academic resources. After the national resumption of the college entrance examination system, the work of the college quickly entered the right track. Although the learning environment was difficult at the time, everyone’s learning was very strong, and the hard-won learning opportunities were cherished. “At the time, there were only sixty or seventy students in the silk profession. Compared with the scale of tens of thousands of students today, the change of Suzhou University is also the epitome of the progress of the times.”
In 1980, as the first batch of international students, Bai Lu came to the Department of Fiber Science of Shinshu University in Japan to explore the academic essence of silk textiles. When I first arrived in Japan, I saw what was new. Bai Lun said that he has not been exposed to computers in China, and that he has used computers in simulation experiments for engineering management. The punching computer at that time needs to be run according to the procedure given by the person. In general, the initial procedure is to use the hand to honestly put each instruction on the punched tape and input it into the computer. "Once you get into the computer, you are not afraid of it, you can solve a lot of experimental sampling problems."
